Stephen shares how he uses the relationship with the horse to promote a right relationship with Christ.
The author of soon to be published “Developing Your Camp Horse Program”; Stephen shares how this seemingly radical method can be used to not only affect the lives of youth but everyone involved. He uses his lifetime of experience with horses and his unique training method to not only develop horsemanship skills but also impact youth for an eternity by teaching them how to develop a right relationship with Christ.
Through stories of his youth he shares the lessons that God was trying to teach him. These stories impact young and old alike as they touch lives through the principles that are brought forth from them. Learn how the two relationships compare and how the one with the horse can help develop the one for God.
He shares how to continue to develop the relationship with Christ with the youth as they come home from camp, offering insights into their behaviors. He explains the relationship process with the horse and what the youth who take the program learn and how it creates positive change in their lives and what we can do to encourage them in their daily walk with Christ.

Stephen Tillia
has been around or worked with horses for over 43 years. During that time he has worked at various youth camps and equine facilities and has provided riding lessons for regular and special needs youth. His relationship development style of training began when he was 12 years old which was when he accepted Christ as his Savior.
A former business owner he was active in the insurance industry performing and writing inspection programs and risk management assessments. In 2000 he developed an inspection program for the equine insurance industry that many insurers currently use as their application for both equine facilities and camp programs. Although he had run from God during his adult years he fully surrendered his life to Him in 2007 which is when he began to realize the lessons that God had tried to teach him as a youth with the horse.
Today along with his horse training and riding lessons, he speaks to youth groups using the horse to demonstrate the relationship that God desires with us. He has written several short stories for the horse lover using his experiences with the horse and showing how God was trying to speak to him through those experiences. He has also written a book that is being considered by a publisher; on developing a camp horse program based upon the relationship development.
While he loves working with all ages he has a special love for special needs children, having an autistic step-son that was the inspiration of their therapeutic riding program. Together with his wife Cheryl they have a total of 9 kids with 3 grandchildren; 3 dogs and 4 horses. There are times when they have as many as 30 horses on the property that they are currently leasing.
